Based in London, Christian has almost 15 years’ experience in environmental risk, transaction advisory and ESG due diligence. He joins from Arcadis, where he led the Transaction Advisory team, supporting high-value transactions across real estate, infrastructure, energy and data centres in the UK and Europe. He has led environmental work on more than 200 property and M&A transactions.

The new Environmental Consultancy team will work alongside the existing Building Consultancy Technical Due Diligence teams, advising clients who are buying, selling or refinancing real estate. It will focus on growth in logistics, industrial, infrastructure, energy, digital infrastructure and data centres. The company says the move responds to growing client demand and reflects continued investment in its advisory capabilities.

Daniel Hudson, Executive Director, UK, said: “Environmental risk is playing a larger role in real estate transactions.”

Christian Galanis said he was “excited to join Turner & Townsend and build on our ambitious growth plans”.
