Transport the focus at Futuresource

Some of the leading names in the vehicle and mobile plant sectors will be on show at the Futuresource 2009 conference and exhibition, which takes place at ExCel London from 9-11 June. Visitors will be able to see the very latest in waste collection, transport and handling kit.

Innovation is top of the agenda. Waste collection and handling solutions designed to deliver better fuel efficiency, reduced CO2 emissions, improved operator safety and costs savings will be the focal point on the Innovation Spotlight stand. New hybrid and multi-modal RCV designs, as well as weighing systems and versatile waste handling solutions, will be among the cutting-edge developments on display, many of which will be UK firsts.

The Freight Transport Association will be hosting a range of free seminar sessions in the Transport Hub, with expert presenters covering a range of hot topics, including Eco Driving and maximising fuel efficiency, driver CPC, overload prevention and graduated fixed penalties.

Futuresource 2009 will bring together high-profile speakers from Government and industry, over 300 exhibitors and an expected 8,000 visitors from across the public and private sectors in the UK and continental Europe. Billed as the European showcase for sustainability, the event will shape future policy and drive the pace of change in the waste, recycling and resource management sector.
