SPSenvirowall left with a sense of industry optimism after a successful trip to Ecobuild, the world’s biggest event for sustainable design, construction and the built environment.

The external wall insulation system designer and supplier created an innovative green grocer stand to tie in with the impending Green Deal, creating a fresh approach to the industry.

The ‘Green Deal’ stand was popular and kept busy with a share of the 45,000 industry professionals who came to the convention which ran at the ExCel centre in London from Tuesday March 5th to Thursday March 7th.

Mitch Gee, managing director of SPSenvirowall , said: “With the Green Deal high on the agenda, we wanted to create a stall which would stand out above the rest and highlight our green credentials in a refreshing way. Our tongue-in-cheek greengrocer’s stall enabled visitors to come and discuss energy efficiency while enjoying a piece of fruit or a glass of juice, to keep their energy up!

“Overall, we were very encouraged by the really heartening response we found at Ecobuild. The comments showed how our technology is being seen as the go-to choice for making solid wall buildings more energy efficient – saving organisations and families money and carbon. Not only improving energy efficiency, protecting the fabric of the building and providing the opportunity to re-model the façade.”

“The feedback we got is that people now understand that unless you stop your property leaking heat and energy through its walls, you run the risk of wasting your time and money with the complicated range of other measures.

“That’s the message we put out and it’s one that is hitting home as a key lesson. A lot of people wanted to find out more about our eco-friendly technology and how it can boost their budgets and their efforts to be green.”

More than 1,000 companies were at this year’s Ecobuild event which brings together organisations from across diverse sectors to learn, share, innovate, experience and discover the future of sustainable building and construction.
